How I miss the still waters
The quiet, the serenity, the stillness
All is peaceful and calm
You were there, peering
at the lake's reflection
staring at your own soul
Little do you know
God is watching you
and you wonder why?
And he said,
"Don't you marvel at the power of spirit?"
You said in wit,
"I'm not sure. Ask my guide. Maybe he has the answer. Or she has my mind. How can I wield the power of light in my hands to do what is right?"
God said,
"Ask."
I said,
"I forgotten how to ask."
God said,
"Do you know the standard of prayer?"
"What should I do? Pray for a message, a sign? I'm lost."
The quiet, the serenity, the stillness
All is peaceful and calm
You were there, peering
