In the past, you would keep horses
riding fast to the wind
hearing the stomping sound of hooves
saving ladies from distress
being a hero is a good thing

In the present, you would maintain your car
and hearing the roar of the engine
wheel on the gravel
wanting to run away form the past
and not wanting to do anything
about love anymore
the radio is on
the music drones you out

His story on how he snapped

Once upon a time,
you fell in love.
You loved her once
with all of your heart and soul.

You were special and she is special.
You did everything together.
In that timeframe, she was the most beautiful woman
in your world, in your universe.

Then one day, everything changed.
It began when she did everything wrong
that isn't right in your world.
You get jealous and feel this is a threat.
You tried to keep under control so everything
can go back to the way it was.

She left you without saying anything.
You didn't give up.
You truly believed in your heart and soul
that she's the One.
But when you found out the truth,
it was too late.

Something changed inside of you that day.

You snapped.

Nothing in the world mattered to you anymore.

and you placed the blame at the person who made you unhappy.

and that got you into trouble.

But one thing for sure,

You realized that it's all an illusion and

Sunlight in his hair

The afternoon of Spring is warm
